There’s a new generation of recreational vehicles on the scene, and they’re sure not your parents’ RV.
A growing number of these motor homes are focused on offering comfort and luxury, with the latest in high-tech features.
For example, both the Winnebago Destination and Itasca Latitude from Winnebago Industries RV are available in either a gas- or diesel-powered platform. With the engine in the rear of the coach, both models are said to offer a quieter and more relaxing driving experience with less engine noise and heat in the cab area.
The cab in the Destination RV and Itasca Latitude RV comes with a rearview monitor with one-way audio and side-view video cameras. The seats are designed for maximum comfort on extended trips on the road.
A one-piece windshield was installed to offer an undisturbed panoramic view, while the mid-coach entry door design eliminates the need for a step well in the cab area and allows for a forward placement of the passenger cab seat for better viewing and comfort. The passenger seat also swivels for a useful seating option in the lounge when parked.
The Destination and Latitude are offered in two different floor plans. Both feature ceilings that are more than 7 feet high and contemporary styling, including a sofa design that combines both UltraLeather and fabric.
Both floor plans also feature dual, slide-out room designs with automatic, hydraulic leveling jacks standard. The front slide-out room extends the sofa and dinette for an expansive area. The living area features a stylish UltraLeather/ fabric upholstered sofa, UltraLeather Euro recliner with ottoman, and dinette, with a table and chairs optional.
An integrated entertainment center sits across from the galley and features a 30-inch high-definition, flat-screen TV and home- theater system that includes an AM/FM stereo, weather-band CD and DVD player and an auxiliary input for an iPod or MP3 player. The stereo can be adjusted from the steering wheel remote or the handheld remote in the living area.
Both models of RV for sale also feature full body paint with fresh, new graphics for a striking exterior design. The exterior also features a fiberglass roof, auxiliary illumination lighting and dual high-mount stop-and-turn lights. Exterior storage is also abundant and accessible, with side-hinged compartment doors under the slide-out rooms.
