Stolen Truck Crashes Into Building, Narrowly Misses Family

A stolen pickup truck crashed into an apartment complex, coming within inches of hitting the family inside.

Aurora police said the truck was first spotted just east of the Denver/Aurora city limits Police identified the vehicle as being stolen and began a pursuit.

The driver continued west on East Colfax Avenue and after a short pursuit, the officer stopped the pursuit, police said.

Police believe the pickup was driving on Yosemite Street and tried to turn onto East 13th Avenue, missed the turn, and spun out of control slamming into Idiris Muhina’s ground floor apartment.

Muhina said the truck missed his head by inches.
