Jungheinrich has launched a new powered pallet truck. Available from this Autumn, the ERE 225 has a fixed stand-on platform and is equipped with third generation AC technology as standard. The new model was specially developed for fast and efficient lorry loading and unloading and for transporting heavy loads over longer distances. It can achieve top speeds up to 12.5 km/h (with load up to 9.5 km/h) and can transport loads weighing up to 2,500 kg.

“There is an obvious trend towards ride-on operation trucks with a fixed platform instead of a flip-up platform,” comments Craig Johnson, Jungheinrich UK’s marketing manager. “Warehouses and distribution centres the world over are getting bigger and trucks are handling loads over greater distances. Productivity is the key driver and this means traveling at speed but, of course, safely. ” he adds.

The ERE 225 boasts a number of advanced features designed to increase productivity and improve the performance of the operator throughout even the most demanding shift.

For example, the new model is fitted with Curve Control - an advanced safety system that automatically adjusts the truck’s speed as it enters a corner depending on the steering angle.
