Indian auto industry is flourishing with new car brands, models and variants. The competition among the car manufacturers is very high. To offer best car to the buyer with luxurious and convenient features, every car maker rolls out cars with maximum comfort. We have cars from every segment from small to big, entry-level to hi-end, simple to luxurious and from ultra-cheap car to most expensive one. Nowadays even common people are capable of maintaining a car. Thanks to easy financial schemes, discounts and loans, this has been a boon for today’s consumers.

Now with the increase in fuel price and increasing pollution level car manufacturers are introducing eco-friendly cars. At present we have Maini Reva from the electric car segment and recently Honda rolled out the first hybrid car to India, the Civic hybrid. Other car manufacturers are also planning to roll out the hybrid cars to India like the Toyota and Hyundai very soon. We also have LPG (Liquefied petroleum gas) and CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) versions of cars that are not only eco-friendly but also fuel friendly.

The largest Indian automobile player Tata is also in full swing to produce an electric version of its ultra-cheap car, the Nano, baptized with the name E-Nano. This electric car will be built in collaboration with the Norwegian electric car specialist firm. The Tata has taken the ‘green step’ keeping in mind the cost and size of the car. The brand has not disclosed the specification details or the launching period as Tata Nano is yet to be launched commercially. But E-Nano will also make its way to the Indian roads very soon.

Tata will bestow its customers with the brand new Nano in the month of October this year as a Diwali gift. Everyone might be having complete information of the Nano; a little brush up will refresh the memory. The base model of the Nano carry a price tag of Rs 1 lakh, powered by a 623 cc engine churning out 33 bhp. The base model will be available without AC, electric windows or power steering that comes as standard in modern new cars.

The company will do an advertisment forlaunching another variant of Nano with turbo-charged engine but for that people will have to wait little more as it will be seen in showrooms only by 2009.The Tata Motors has also signed a contract to compressed air car giving the buyers economical and totally pollution free package.
