Fatal accident in Amboy

State police continue to investigate a fatal crash in Oswego County. It happenedĀ  at the intersection of Routes 69 and 17A in the town of Amboy.

Police say a tractor trailer, driven by George Pfeiffer, 52, of Port Leyden, went off the road.
The truck hit a tree, then traveled through a ditch and came to rest against a utility pole. Pfeiffer died at the scene.

Oswego County HAZMAT was called in to contain a diesel fuel leak from the truck.
